Women's History Month, should be about every woman making their own mark on the world, whether these changes are small or large. There's no reason why a woman should feel ashamed of who she is, what she stands for, and what she represents. All women have a special magic that runs through her veins. In my opinion, women can sometimes be viewed as #2 along side a man or a group of men, depending on the circumstances or setting. Most men (not all) may feel threatened by a woman who possesses quality he may lack in himself , such as education, a salary, a particular career, beauty, social status, etc. A woman should not feel ashamed of the successes and achievements she has obtained.
A woman's beauty is all her own and any man that feels threatened by that is a fool. Grown women excite men, and only a man of integrity can see any woman standing beside him, as his equal, not his conquest. We live in a world where morals and standards between men and women are blindly misconstrued. Women hold all the power they possibly can, while wearing 6-inch heels and a skirt. As women, we do not need a man to validate our life choices and actions.
Grown women, are women that have accepted their flaws, past mistakes, and are unapologetic for the way she lives her life in society. Grown women do not follow trends or rules when it comes to dating and gaining the attention of a man. A grown woman does not her waste time with men that are incapable of showing affection. A grown woman also knows when to let go of a relationship or a man that fails to be the person she needs in her life.
A grown woman is not afraid to tell you the truth, and most frankly she is honest about how she feels. The way a grown woman dresses is for her own her appeal not for the likeness of a man. A grown woman does whatever she sees fit, without the interjection of someone else's opinion. Smart women create their own pathways. If a door is closed, don't be surprised if she's willing to set the door on fire to get it open. Women's History Month should be lived and celebrated all year long. Women should be appreciated 12 months a year, not just in March and on V-Day. What does Women's History Month mean to you?
