Karen's Body Beautiful + Shea Moisture Product Review

Hello ladies,

I'm back this month to share my review of three products featured on my 'September Favorites' for last month. In September, I purchased 1 product from Karen's Body Beautiful and 2 from Shea Moisture. Let's get started!

Karen's Body Beautiful Blossom Moisture Mist:

I was in search of a product to refresh my curls with daily. I purchased this product because I'm not much of a DIY product 'mixtress.' I have faith in Karen's Body Beautiful and almost every product I ever purchased from this line has turned my hair into gold (honest opinion). The Blossom Moisture Mist is has great ingredients such as Castor oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera, etc. I purchased this product in the vanilla latte scent, which smell delicious! This product does a great job at refreshing my curls, moisturizing, and detangling. The spray is not oily or greasy on my hair. It is more of a water-based product. I use this product to mist my twists at night and lightly in the mornings before and after styling my hair. I have very little of this product left and I will be repurchasing.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Transitioning Milk:

In the beginning of my natural hair journey, it was hard for me to find a daily moisturizer that kept my hair soft, supple, and shiny throughout the day/week. I purchased this product on a whim, browsing Target's website one day. This product was one of the many new products introduced by Shea Moisture earlier this year. There was very little reviews online and on YouTube. The product description and the ingredients sounded promising for my hair. The Raw Shea Butter line has worked well for my hair in the past, because there are very little to no proteins present in the line of products. I am only able to purchase this product online via Target which is a little annoying but worth it. My hair has been in love and happy ever since I purchased this hair milk. The quality of my hair has improved. I'm able to stretch my wash days and hairstyles. I'm praying Shea Moisture NEVER discontinues this product. I want to point out, that you do not need to be transitioning in order to use this product. I find that it works very well on natural hair/curly hair.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Detangler:

This product has to be one of the best detangling/leave-in conditioner I ever used. This product is light-weight similar to Kinky Curly Knot Today (does nothing for my curls). I am able to finger detangle my hair with this product and it provides moisture and preps my hair for styling after it is co-washed. I only use this product on damp co-washed hair. This product helps prep my hair for any additional styling after my hair is co-washed.

Since I've been using these products, my hair  eludes great shine and softness
October 30th will make me 1 year Natural :) ♡

Thanks for reading,

  1. I just got the Karen's Body Ambrosia Leave-In in the guava scent. Smells so good and it's the perfect leave-in for my hair. I'm looking forward to trying more of this company's products. maybe the moisture mist is next-up, thanks for the review.

    1. Thanks for commenting Angela! I love the Sweet Ambrosia Leave-in. I use it on my hair before I apply the Shea Moisture Transitioning Milk. I love all KBB products in the vanilla latte scent :)
