I'm a lover of all things beauty and indulging in girly things of course! Any one of m female friends, can tell you, I've been trying to grow back my eyebrows for a little over a year. I've always had thick eyebrows however, I'm guilty of over-plucking and tweezing. I decided to bite the bullet and let someone else tend to my brows, since I can't be trusted with grooming tools!

I learned about Wink Brow Bar from watching my local news. I believe there was a new story, which was featured a year ago. Wink Brow Bar is based in New York City with two locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Umbreen Sheikh is the CEO and Founder of the booming brow business. In February, I visited one of the salon's locations on a whim, as a walk-in. I had my eyebrows threaded for the first time and fell in love! Threading does not involve any chemicals and in my opinion, more gentler than waxing.

My brows were not in the best shape however, the technician did an amazing job. The technician recommended that I use castor oil on my brows nightly, and not to return until the following month. I was also instructed to cease all tweezing, plucking, and shaping on my own until my next appointment. I became so hooked and pleased with the services Wink provided, this week I returned for my usual eyebrow threading, plus a facial! I also booked a 30-minute facial with one of the esthetician's at the salon. I learned some valuable tips for maintaining healthy skin, especially on my face. I learned there's a difference between facial lotion vs. body lotion. Body lotion should NOT be used on your face. It can clog your pours and may not provide adequate moisture to your face.
