Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love Review + Big Chop

Hi dolls,

Happy New Year to you all! It's finally 2013, and I think this year is going to be very prosperous and fantastic. I have a product review today on Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love moisture milk. I heard great things about this all-natural hair care line from a few Youtube videos. I purchased this product from Ave You beauty boutique online about three weeks ago. At the time of purchase, the Camille Rose website (shop) was temporarily closed for the holidays. I received my purchase from Ave You pretty quickly. I paid $14.00 for this product. I received a cute Eco-friendly tote bag along with my purchase (shown above). I thought this was a great gesture for a beauty store to include a free plus chic tote bag with every purchase.
This is what the bottle looks like
I have been using the Curl Love moisture milk for about three weeks. This is the first product I have used since I did the Big Chop (October 30, 2012), that provided a great deal of moisture to my hair. My hair was dry like the Sahara Dessert. I use to apply 2-3 or more to get temporary moisture in my hair. The Curl Love smells like a light cupcake or pastry scent. The smell fads very quickly for those who are sensitive to certain smells. The list of ingredients in this product is short, sweet, and simple. There are key ingredients like rice milk and green tea, which is pretty cool! The full list of ingredients are (read off the bottle): Distilled water, Rice Milk, Macadamia Oil, Shea Oil, Avocado Oil, Aloe Vera Extract, Green Tea Extract, BTMS, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Optiphen (Preservative), Natural Fragrance, and Love!

Ingredients list also listed above
The consistency of the product

How do I use this product? I find this product works best for me on soaking wet to slightly damp hair. I do not apply this product directly to dry hair. My hair is considered low porosity therefore, my hair takes forever to absorb products. The consistency of this product is pretty thick in my opinion. I use about 3 pea size amounts for my entire head. The detangling slip of this product perfect for my hair texture and type. I rack and smooth this product down the shaft of my hair, starting from the top to the bottom. I concentrate on the ends of my hair. My curls clump together with this product.

I am able to get soft hair for the entire week. I only reapply this product twice a week on my hair. I reactivate the product with water and seal the moisture in with an oil. My hair dries soft and fluffy without my curls feeling crunchy (shown below). I also do not get any white residue left over with this product. In case anyone's wondering what my hair type is, I am a 3c/4a all over. Overall, I really like this product. I will definitely repurchase when my bottle is at the halfway mark. This product is on my holy grail list of products for my TWA/natural hair.

As you can see I used a lot of the product
A little goes a long way.

Texture shot: My hair was still damp with the Curl Love
I have silky/fluffy strands of  hair that are fine.
FTC: I purchased this product with my own money :)

  1. @Evon I haven't heard of this company before either until I seen someone review the products on YouTube. It's really great. My hair was so dry before I started using this product. Now it dries soft and fluffy :)

  2. Hi,
I like how it has a variety of oils for your hair! I have relaxed hair but I do find that hair milks help keep my hair moisturized! Right now I am testing out different hair milks to see which ones work best for my hair (in terms of moisture, beneficial ingredients, feel, etc.) I have tried Deja's Hair Milk. I t is very moisturizing. I am also going to try My Honey Child Hair Milk(s).

    1. Hi Anna,

Thank you for taking the time out to comment! Your feedback is appreciated! I tend to lean towards products with 'natural' ingredients. As you transition to natural hair, you have to figure out what works best for your hair. I love Camille Rose products, they tend to provide great moisture to my hair.
