Grace Mahary is an outstanding newcomer to the modeling/fashion industry. The former Canadian athlete, is probably most famous for her steamy cameo with Trey Songz, in the "I Invented Sex" video back in 2009. She was also featured in Trey Songz's "Say Aah" video as well. I remembered googling who she was because I fell in love with her gigantic luscious hair. Grace is not only stunning, she is a supermodel well beyond her years. Her parents are natives of Eritrea, East Africa, which makes her even more unique. Grace is currently signed with Elmer Olsen Modeling Management. Grace pushes the envelope for many African-American women aspiring to be models. |
I think Grace was chosen for the role in Trey Songz's "I Invented Sex"video, because she did not fit the bill of mainstream Hip-Hop/R&B stereotypes. I thought Grace was perfect for the roll because she was not a "video" model, but an actual model, with a modest body type, that was relatable to young women. Grace often wears her hair curly and straight in illustrated work I have seen. I think it is cool she can have versatility with her own hair while working in the modeling industry. She gives a natural look to any project she's working on, with her hair curly or straight. I think Grace can serve up bold and timeless pieces of artwork through her modeling career. I hope to see more from Grace Mahary in the near future. I can't express how much I love her hair, once again! Check out some of her work below:
She was one lucky woman to have landed this role! |
