All About the Brows

Briogeo B. Well Castor Oil Review

It's no secret great brows are essential for framing our faces. Whether we beat them to the gods or keep them slathered in dewy moisturizers and potions. If you remember 2000's, thin pencil-like eyebrows were on trend, and almost every woman had this look. Flash forward to 2019, natural brows are on  trend, and here to stay. Think the 90's, and brows like Brooke Shields. I remember 2-3 years ago my brows were in such bad shape, and almost non-existent. My brows were over-plucked and were struggling in the growth department.

I began getting my eyebrows threaded last year, after touring my brows to the point of no return. I found the most amazing aesthetician that really cared about the health of my brows verses being thread-happy. My aesthetician recommended, I condition my brows nightly with Castor Oil to promote hair growth. She also recommended, I get my brows threaded every 3 weeks to give the brows time to grow in-between sessions. What I liked about having my brows done by my aesthetician, was the fact that she kept my shape natural and did thread more than she was suppose to. Sadly, my aesthetician went on maternity leave and did not return to the salon.

I've decided to care for my brows myself and grow them out to their natural shape after having a few mishaps with shaping by other aestheticians. Castor Oil has been my best friend since I've been growing out my brows for almost 2 months now. About 3 weeks ago, during the Sephora VIB sale, I purchased the Briogeo B. Well Castor Oil. I  have been in love with this brand of oil, and it's organic and cold-pressed. I can feel the oil really penetrating the hair follicles, which is important to me. I need to feel a product working for me, when it comes to hair growth. You can use this on your hair as well.

I apply Castor Oil to my eyebrows, manly at night. Lately, I've been applying a tiny amount in the mornings, reap the full benefits. I do not break out from the Castor Oil, and I wipe the excess oil  away with a Q-tip, or blotting sheet (if it's during the day). By swiping a little oil on my brows, it keeps them conditioned and tamed. Castor Oil can be used as an alternative to brow gel.

You can purchase the oil directly from the Briogeo website or Sephora (that's where I purchased mine). The price point of this item is $26.00 and it lasts a long time!
